FIA and Next Level Racing® Join Forces to Boost Growing Esports Success
· FIA Official Licensed simulator equipment set for global distribution
· Next Level Racing products distributed in over 50 countries
· Motor sport accessibility at the heart of the FIA’s Esports activities
The FIA is pleased to announce that it has entered into an Official Licensing agreement with Next Level Racing® – a global manufacturer and distributor of industry-leading simulator seats and cockpits. Next Level Racing® will deliver FIA Official Licensed Products in over 50 countries, with the latest gear available both commercial and private customers maximising the potential reach for this growing motor sport discipline.
“We are constantly looking for ways to broaden the reach of our Esports projects,” said Eric Stranne, FIA Project Manager – Esports. “We have built in commitments to working with our network of ASNs, with a view to ensuring that more and more Esports events can take place within the FIA’s global ecosystem, encouraging greater participation and passion for motor sport.”
In line with the FIA’s pledge to double global motor sport participation, Esports is a vital form of competition that has the potential to reach and inspire a huge number of potential competitors and fans, both as an entry point into real-world motor sport and, increasingly, as an aspirational independent discipline in its own right.
“We are excited to partner with the FIA to support the growth of esports and the global expansion of sim racing. Our upcoming range of products will empower ASN’s efforts worldwide, providing cutting-edge solutions that enhance the sim racing experience. By working with the FIA, we are committed to closing the gap between real and virtual racing, helping to cultivate the next generation of motorsport talent.” – Kam Khadem, Chief Marketing Officer, Next Level Racing®
Next Level Racing cockpits will be on show in the public display areas of the upcoming FIA Motorsport Games, and with FIA-endorsed
competitions now taking place regionally and internationally, there is growing momentum behind this agreement which extends for the next three years.
FIA Marketing and Partnerships Director, Brett Hasell, adds: “This agreement with Next Level Racing® will help individuals, businesses and our ASNs join the growing virtual racing community with the assurance that their equipment matches their racing ambitions.
“There is a proven suite of products already on the market that will soon become Officially Licensed, and some really exciting products in the pipeline from Next Level Racing® that we believe will be a fantastic addition to the Esports ecosystem.”
As part of this agreement, Next Level Racing® has committed to helping ASNs grow and develop, working both through the FIA and directly with the ASNs to facilitate acquiring equipment for on-site events. Next Level Racing® will also have the possibility to participate in the FIA’s annual Conference events that bring together the worldwide network of FIA Member Clubs, many of whom are embarking on their own Esports journeys. With interest in Esports trending heavily towards younger, more diverse audiences, the FIA is keen to maximise the opportunities it can offer its ASNs in this space.
