WHAT GOT ME INTO RACING?
I got started later than most drivers. Going into my sophomore year in high school, my family moved to the CA Bay Area. The headmaster of my new school is a huge motorsport fan, so he created the COOLEST P.E. class ever: racing at the local indoor kart track! He noticed that I quickly developed a passion for driving flat out, and we made a deal that if I focus on my homework & exams the same way I do with my apexes, he’ll award me with a karting scholarship until graduation.
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR THE TWO YEARS?
Within the next couple of years, I want to utilize my motorsport platform to help raise neurodiversity awareness! As someone who was diagnosed with autism at a very young age, I want to inspire people who are experiencing the same challenges as I do to chase down their wildest dreams. On the sim racing side, I love streaming on Twitch, and want to further build my presence & community as I begin to get more serious about eSports.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE RACE TRACK TO RACE ON?
My favorite track will always be Laguna Seca. I’ve won many races there during my time in open wheel, and am also a driving instructor for the local racing school. This is also the track where I’ve clocked in the most virtual laps because I’m constantly trying to find another couple hundredths in Gran Turismo 7’s S-7 License Test.
HOW IS SIMULATION HELPING YOUR TRAINING?
Simulators help immensely with my focus behind the wheel. Having the discipline to quickly learn new tracks and then replicate the same laps over and over is crucial in today’s racing. It’s also great for keeping my muscle memory sharp. I can always rely on my Next Level Racing cockpit to withstand the force under the brakes from my super jacked left leg.
